April 25, 2023 by Cal Walters in Intentional Living, Leadership

As the Managing Principal for Cushman & Wakefield’s Dallas office, Doug Jones is responsible for leading the commercial real estate brokerage and advisory efforts in the DFW area.

With over 250 commercial real estate professionals working actively in brokerage, capital markets and real estate advisory services, Doug strives to ensure that his firm leads the market by creating exceptional value for their clients. He and his team are building an incredible place for people to work, serving the industry and Dallas community.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Doug served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. He led in the Army in combat and at home. He received multiple Bronze Star medals, including one for Valor that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld presented to him in 2011. Today he leads Cushman & Wakefield's Military and Veteran Programs which are dedicated to elevating their services and the Cushman & Wakefield brand by bringing top military talent into the organization.

As you will see, it’s no surprise that Doug has been entrusted with significant leadership responsibilities at such a young age. His mindset is something we can all learn from. We dive into how we has dealt with moments of failure and setbacks, key habits he focuses on for self-leadership, his top leadership principles, and much more.

Doug recommended The Motive by Patrick Lencioni as a great read for any leader.
